Made from a soft peached cotton twill, these trousers were shaped by the ideas behind Gerrit Rietveld’s Berlin Chair. The chair’s stark black‑and‑white composition showed how cool tones can feel unexpectedly warm when placed in thoughtful relation, which inspired the choice of a fabric that looks crisp yet feels soft and sueded against the skin. This balance of clarity and comfort gives the trousers a quiet presence suited to the cooler months. 

Rietveld’s belief in simple construction and mental focus also informed the design. The trousers are straightforward and functional, free of unnecessary detail, and shaped to support movement without distraction. Their silhouette stays unobtrusive, allowing the rest of the outfit — and the wearer’s movement — to remain open, echoing the spatial transparency that defined much of Rietveld’s work.
