This cardigan was developed after conversations with architects and architecture students about what they reach for during long workdays. Made in a 7 gauge, 4 ply knit, it has enough body to hold its shape while remaining light enough to slip under a coat. The aim was to create a piece that supports movement and focus, offering warmth without heaviness and structure without rigidity. The choice of Tasmanian Merino wool reinforces this, as its extrafine fibres provide a softness comparable to cashmere while staying breathable and resilient. 

The two-way Riri zipper runs through the front, selected for its smooth operation and flexibility in adjusting the silhouette. This detail recalls a photograph of Gerrit Rietveld wearing a zipped cardigan beneath his coat during a lecture, a reminder that functional layering has long been part of the design world. 

By combining the softness and durability of Tasmanian Merino with a relaxed structure and adaptable closure, this garment becomes a dependable layer designed to support long hours of work while standing the test of time.
